Founded in 1990 in the avocado orchards and chaparral of northern San Diego County, in the lineage of Ajahn Lee and Ajahn Maha Boowa. Under the direction of Thanissaro Bhikkhu (Ajahn Geoff), it is a major center for Dhammayut Thai Forest teachings in the West.
